NuGen Automation is currently looking for Software Developers and Consultants to work within our Wonderware Development and On-Site Customer Support Team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Wonderware HMI (InTouch) systems primarily in the Oil & Gas Industry. This position is primarily responsible for delivering projects and support at customer field locations throughout the United States and Canada. The successful candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in HMI Development/Automation, field /project experience and at least 1+ year specializing in Wonderware ArchestrA and InTouch for System Platform.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work within the Wonderware Team to develop, test, deliver, commission, and support InTouch HMI’s and supporting applications
  • Provide consulting services at our customer locations and remotely, when acceptable
  • Perform system maintenance and operational changes/improvements under an established Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Proactive system support, working closely with our customers SCADA and/or Control room managers
  • Troubleshoot software and system components, from field device communication to the data historian, using available in-house and online support resources.

Required Skills: Candidates must possess the following essential skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with the following Wonderware products:
    • InTouch
    • System Platform
    • Wonderware Historian (IndustrialSQL)
    • Wonderware Historian Client
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Experience with C# and/or the .NET development environment
  • Knowledge of best-practice Automation strategies, implementations, and designs
  • General understanding of pipeline control systems as applied to real-time data acquisition, display, and integration into data historians
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment
  • Willing to travel up to 60% as required and has an excellent driving record

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with all or some of the following software and hardware:  PLCs, Flow Computers, Auto-Sol AES OPC Server, Wonderware West Universal Server (USS), Kepware, Win911, Top-Server, Flo-Cal Measurement System is a plus
  • Basic understanding of networks and ability to troubleshoot common outages
